Knowing firsthand the challenges of living with a loved one with disabilities, I can confidently say that we’ve come a long way over the past several decades.

2016 Ladybug Fund Winetasting & Silent Auction Full of Firsts
Mobile bidding replaced paper bid sheets, a Wine Shop featured key wines from the tasting for guests to purchase and take home and the proceeds from the Ladybug Fund can now apply to all services that benefit children at ARC. Previously, the Ladybug Fund only benefited ICDS, but a recent change in policy made these funds available to all children receiving services in ICDS, Respite, Summer Camp and Afterschool.
The Wine Shop took spotlight as the biggest hit of the night. The shop sold down within an hour and will need to be expanded for next year.
The silent auction also featured new, exciting items. A Beginner Beekeeping Kit attracted a lot of attention. Mama J’s, a new addition to the selection of restaurants in attendance, won favor. The team is hopeful they will participate again next year – Mama herself represented the restaurant and won the crowd with both home-style charm and food.
Preliminary numbers are still being calculated but the Ladybug Fund stands to net approximately $66,000.00 for children’s services.
The Development team would like to thank the sponsors, donors, volunteers and guests who made this night possible. You make this community stronger.
